Preferred’s Combusion crew continues to push the boundaries of performance and flexibility in industrial combustion systems.

A recent project involved outfitting two (2) Superior 1400 HP firetube boilers with Preferred’s advanced low NOx SPEC COM burners and gas blending skids. Each boiler is rated for approximately 48,300 lb/hr of steam, firing natural gas at 58 MMBtu/hr and hydrogen at 46 MMBtu/hr.

The result? A powerful demonstration of burner flexibility, emissions compliance, and fuel adaptability. Whether it’s natural gas, hydrogen, or other specialty fuels, these gas blending systems and burners meet stringent performance demands. They provide our customers with exceptional operational range and reduce the consumption and cost of natural gas.
