Keeping ‘Essential Services’ Running
This complete burner and controls retrofit from Preferred was installed an existing watertube boiler at an “essential services” corporation in the Midwest.
In partnership with Simoneau Sterling, Preferred Special Combustion Engineering, a division of Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation, provided critical combustion engineering services, and products to meet the clients Emission Reduction, Energy Efficiency, and Sustainability Goals. Excellent project management and installation services by Simoneau Sterling brought this project to completion and all equipment on line, on time and within budget.
Burner performance is < 30 PPM NOx (no FGR), and < 1.5% O2 at > 40% firing rate. Decreased electrical consumption with integrated full-metering combustion control, and SCADA for reduced steam usage and increased operator interface and reporting.
