A Central Massachusetts manufacturing facility has applied our PCC-IV loop controller to maintain two boilers’ water level control, and a DCS IV control and protect the deaeration and feed water processes.

Preferred engineers designed the control system, programmed the safety interlocks and controls, touch screen graphics. Purchased the field instruments and drives, and coordinated our field service efforts for commissioning and training. 

Deaerator level control, feed water header pressure control (VSD) and level safety interlocks have improved reliability and boiler stability.

At the same time Preferred upgraded the drum level measurement and single element modulating level control. A new smart transmitter, Level Control Valve and a single multi-loop controller were quickly and easily introduced. Level consistency was improved from the old on/off.
